Vietnam has emerged as one of Asia’s great success stories during the past quarter century. Since 1986, a nation ravaged by war, has posted annual per capita growth of 5.3 percent - faster than any other Asian economy apart from China. Vietnam has benefitted from a program of domestic reformation, a transition from the agricultural base towards services and manufacturing, and a demographic dividend powered by a youthful population. The country has also prospered since joining the World Trade Organization in 2007.
With ongoing reforms, the country will play an ever-increasing role in the expansion plans of Multinational Corporations (MNCs).
