Today marked the second day of our Preparatory seminar. After an intense first day, we started at 9:30am with an interesting presentation by Mrs. Mei Qin Schärer-Lim, who gave our delegation insights into one of our on-site destinations Singapore. Mrs. Schärer-Lim is an alumni of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and was also part of the project management team of an earlier edition of InsightChina, and thus perfectly understood how our delegation should be prepared for our On-Site trip.
At 11:00am, we were especially honored to welcome Dr. Muliaman Hadad, Ambassador of Indonesia to Switzerland, who gave us a fascinating presentation about the ASEAN region and the country of Indonesia. We were curious to learn about key numbers in the ASEAN market and very happy that Dr. Muliaman Hadad also included aspects of this year's theme "Coopetition in ASEAN" in his presentation. We would at this point again like to express our sincerest gratitude for his presentation and support for our preparatory seminar.
After our lunchbreak, we were happy to welcome Mr. Patrick Kriesemer back, Vice-President of the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce, who already presented an overview of the ASEAN region on our first day of our seminar. Today, Mr. Kriesemer again paid a visit to our seminar to work on ASEAN case studies together with our delegation. At this point, our sincerest thanks to Mr. Kriesemer as well for his valuable time and interesting insights he offered us.
The last presentation of the second day of our seminar was held by Mrs. Minh Tran, Head of Corporate External Communications at TE Connectivity. She gave us another interesting presentation with the title: Newsroom: Giant Networks, gentle communication - every connection counts.
At the end of the day, the project management team was happy to offer an apéro to our delegation for the purpose of networking with each other. This time together certainly increased the anticipation for our upcoming On-Site trip to the ASEAN region!
