His Excellency`s visit and his great generosity!
Only a month ago, exploreASEAN and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland was honored to welcome the Ambassador of Vietnam to Switzerland, His Excellency Mister Pham Hai Bang, for a final speech on the second day of the preparatory seminar. Thanks to his Excellency and the Vietnamese Embassy to Switzerland, the exploreASEAN delegation was granted free visas for its journey in Vietnam.
Olten, 14 February 2017. His Excellency Mister Pham Hai Bang honored the exploreASEAN audience with his visit at the preparatory seminar 2017. Among the audience were the FHNW Management Board, represented by Prof. Dr. Rolf Schaeren and Prof. Dr. Markus Freiburghaus who joined the speech of His Excellency.
The participants highly valued the attendance of the Ambassador who captured the audience’s attention with a speech on the relationship between Vietnam and Switzerland. The talk was continued by an interactive presentation of Dr. Quyen, Head of Trade Office of Vietnam Embassy. It was when the audience gained valuable insights into the rich and diverse culture of Vietnam through videos and pictures.
Not only the fact that his Excellency Mister Pham Hai Bang was attending the preparatory seminar, but also that his Excellency together with the Embassy of Vietnam to Switzerland was so generous to provide the delegation with free visas for the business trip to Vietnam, were very appreciated by the explorers.
As the closing of the same Tuesday afternoon, exploreASEAN interviewed the Vietnamese delegation who shared their personal experiences concerning TET celebration. The participants were given the opportunity to ask their questions regarding the Lunar New Year celebration for a better understanding of the importance of the tradition. After the question and answer part, the project management team invited the participants to celebrate Lunar New Year while tasting excellent Vietnamese food, which was prepared by the Restaurant Aareblick and sponsored by Adam Uhren.
