The project teams’ motivation is to obtain valuable onsite findings abroad in order to offer them to all students who are interested in the ASEAN community. During the preparatory seminar, taking place at the beginning of each project year, participants are receiving the chance to learn more about the ASEAN member states. Knowledge about economic, cultural and environmental topics will be transferred by guest speakers.
Some weeks after the preparatory seminar, an onsite trip will connect all participants and the project team with selected companies and organizations abroad. The goal is to build to relationships with people working in Southeast Asia and to benefit from their work experience.

ASEAN states such as Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam have economies at different stages of development but all sharing enormous growth potential. As the region seeks to deepen its ties and capture an even greater share of global trade, its economic profile is rising - and it is crucial for those outside the region to understand its complexities and contradictions.
